A Maryville man has been charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor after authorities found child pornography on his computer, Blount County Sheriff James Berrong said Tuesday afternoon.
Daniel Wayne Presnell, 24, Grove Street, Maryville, is being held on $50,000 bond at the Blount County Detention Facility pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court on Nov. 6 at 9 a.m.
The arrest is the cumulation of a two-week undercover investigation by the Hi-Tech Evidence and Technology Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children.
Monday investigators executed a search warrant on Presnell’s residence and seized his computer.
