Football season is over at William Blount's Ninth Grade Academy, and the team is already anticipating next year. Cornerback Justus Bell shared his thoughts on the season to get a look into the feelings of the players.

When asked about his own performance, Bell said. "I could have done better at many things, but I think I improved since last season, and I am overall satisfied with my contributions to the team. Next year I am planning to improve a lot again."

He said that playing football has helped him not just be a better athlete but also a better student.

"It teaches discipline, the importance of obedience, and paying attention, brotherhood, companionship, humility in defeat and modesty in victory. It also shows us the importance of wellness and how crucial it is to stay in shape," Bell explained.

When asked whether he considered himself a role model to the student body, he said it has been the entire team, not just one person.

The whole school is proud of the team for its effort and determination during this season.

Thinkfast, an organization used to teach teenagers safe driving techniques, came to William Blount Ninth Grade Academy for a large pep rally. They had a game show where groups of four competed against the other teams in the school for a chance to win. The questions where about many things including driving, and pop culture, which got the kids interested in the organization. The winning team, The Beavers, consisted of Courtney Whited, Samantha Cilano, Myranda Yearout, and Patrick Hicks, and as a prize they all received Swish Army backpacks.
