A 21-year-old Maryville man was among 14 individuals indicted by a Knoxville federal grand jury recently on drug-related charges.
Tyler Henry was indicted on charges of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute oxycodone, methylenedioxy-methamphetamine (commonly known as MDMA or Ecstasy) and marijuana.
If convicted of the charges, he faces up to 20 years in prison, a $1 million fine and supervised release of three years to life.
U.S. Attorney Russ Dedrick said in a release: "This case represents a significant effort by federal law enforcement to address the substantial dangers associated with the distribution and use of oxycodone in the Eastern District of Tennessee. This drug has been identified by local law enforcement authorities as being the most abused and dangerous drug on the streets in our regions. Federal authorities, in conjunction with local and state law enforcement, have redoubled their enforcement emphasis against individuals involved in these activities."
