Congratulations to Alan Fowler of Alcoa, who is the winner of the final Daily Times Football Contest.
Alan wins the first place prize of $400 by having the best entry in the special bowl game edition.
Even though Alan's entry was not perfect, he had only two misses. A number of other entries tied Alan, but he nailed the tiebreaker (total points scored in the Tennessee-Virginia Tech game, 51.)
We have consolation prizes for two other two-miss entries who came next closest to the tiebreaker. Jesse Hughes of Maryville wins $50 for second place and Darrel Pharris of Maryville wins $25 for third place.
We'll mail checks to the lucky winners.
Thanks again, fans, for playing in The Daily Times Football Contest, and we're already looking forward to next season.
