Sipe receives fellowship

Lauren Sipe, of Maryville, has received the Othmer Fellowship at the University of Nebraska. Recipients were awarded medals and recognized in a ceremony at the Lied Center for Performing Arts. Othmer Fellowships assist in recruiting scholars who seek a terminal degree. They are awarded an assistantship at the highest level offered by their departments plus an additional $8,000 for three years.
Sipe is pursuing a Ph.D. in mathematics.
