Wiggins earns commendation

Cody Wiggins, son of Kenny and Donna Wiggins of Alcoa, received a Letter of Commendation for the 2009 National Merit Scholarship Program. Wiggins is a senior at Maryville Christian School and plans to pursue a degree in engineering.
He is a member of the BETA and Doulos clubs, has participated yearly in the East Tennessee Scholar's Bowl and the King's Academy Scholar's Bowl.
Wiggins has lettered for three years of varsity baseball. He participates in the youth choir at Madison Avenue Baptist Church as well as mission work of WorldChangers and Big Creek Missions.
