Fine Arts Blount is giving the rest of us a public peek into their private studios during its Artists' Studio Tour to be held from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 22.
The tour will originate at ArtSpace in downtown Maryville where seven artists will have their work on display. They will be available to talk about their creative processes and answer questions. From there, ticket holders can make their way to eight different artists' studios to visit and talk with each one. Carpooling is suggested. Maps to each studio will be available at the time of ticket purchase.
The cost for this Sunday afternoon tour is $15 for adults, with children under 12 admitted free. Tickets are available at Boyd Thomas Clothing, Dandy Lions, ArtSpace, and Blount County Chamber of Commerce. Included with each ticket purchase will be a chance to win a piece of donated artwork by each participating artist.
The ArtSpace artists include Jerry Collis, Sally Macy, Karen Miller, John Patterson, Robert Quinn, Tammy Schhlosser and Suzanne Stockfisch.
Artists on location are Diann Bishop, Dave Campbell, Susan Mink Colclough, Clay Crowder, Keith Elrod, Annamaria Gundlach, Ruth Phipps, Ann Seaton Tappen, Susan Tolson and Norma Riegle with Gail Karnoupakis. Light refreshments will be served at each location.
This event is a fundraiser for FAB. Proceeds will be used for various teaching opportunities and exhibits in the community.
