"The Foster Girls" is set in Wears Valley; upcoming books in the series are set in Townsend and other local communities. After lunch with the ladies, Lin came back to the library for a book signing.
New books added to the collection in the last week include: "206 Bones" by Kathy Reichs; "Sweet Revenge" by Fern Michaels; "Dead and Gone" by Charlaine Harris; and "Spartan Gold" by Clive Cussler.
The Townsend Book Club meets on the fourth Thursday of every month at 10 a.m. in the library. The books for the upcoming months are: Nov. 19 - "Levi's Will" by W. Dale Cramer; Dec. 17 - No title chosen at this time; and Jan. 28 - "Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China" by Jung Chang.
The library's Artist of the Month for November is Susan Pasquini of Townsend, displaying her beaded jewelry and accessories.
