KNOXVILLE -- The 10th-ranked Tennessee men's basketball team used another explosive output from Scotty Hopson on Wednesday night to blow past Division II Lincoln Memorial for a 97-58 victory in its second and final preseason exhibition at Thompson-Boling Arena.
The sophomore guard finished with 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field. Last week, he scored 20 points to lead the Vols in a 117-79 win against North Alabama.
But it wasn't all Hopson in Tennessee's route. The Vols once again had a well-rounded performance across the board. Forward Tyler Smith and center Wayne Chism each had 11 points, and Chism grabbed eight rebounds.
Tennessee did struggle from 3-point range early, shooting 3-of-13 in the first half. The Vols finished 9-of-26 on 3s and shot 45.5 percent from the field while holding LMU to 33.3-percent shooting.
