Naramore rejoins BMH in Parkway Psychiatric

Psychiatrist Dr. Lee Ellen Naramore has rejoined the active medical staff at Blount Memorial Hospital. She now is accepting new patients at Parkway Psychiatric Service, located at 451 Blount Memorial Physician Office Building in Maryville.

Naramore received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1982 at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. She received her medical degree in 1988, completed a psychiatry internship in 1989 and completed her residency in 1992 -- all at the James H. Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City.

Naramore began practicing psychiatry in Tennessee and North Carolina in 2000. She became the medical director of the adolescent unit at Woodridge Hospital, a division of Frontier Health, in Johnson City. Also in 2000, she became a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Quillen College of Medicine.

In 2003, Naramore moved to Maryville where she became a staff psychiatrist with Parkway Psychiatric Service. In 2006, she went to work as a staff psychiatrist at the James H. Quillen Veterans Administration Medical Center in Mountain Home, and returned to teaching as a clinical assistant professor at the Quillen College of Medicine.

Naramore is board-certified in general psychiatry. She and her husband, Dr. Harold Naramore, medical director at Blount Memorial, have a daughter, Rachel Naramore.
