The Scots (28-5) are now one win away from their first NCAA tournament since 2006. A victory in today's 1 p.m. conference title match against Piedmont or Huntingdon would secure the GSAC's automatic bid to the Division III championships.

A return trip to the national stage may be a foregone conclusion for a team that hasn't dropped a set in conference play all season. Maryville certainly looked the part Friday night, pounding nearly twice as many kills and less than half as many errors as the Spirits (11-19). Leading the way was Little, a Maryville high product, who had 12 kills without a single error thanks in large part to some stunning leaping ability.
