Maryville College women's soccer team takes seventh straight GSAC title

Down one goal for much of the game, the Maryville College women's soccer team came back to beat Piedmont College, 2-1, on Saturday and claim a seventh consecutive Great South Athletic Conference championship.
The Scots also earned an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
That Piedmont College played tough was no surprise to junior Jessica Peterson, who recalled the Scots previous game with the Lions.
"We knew they would come out hard," said Peterson.
