Maryville College women's soccer to host forst-round NCAA tourney game

The Maryville College women's soccer team will host Mary Washington University Thursday in the first round of the NCAA tournament at 6 p.m.
The Eagles (12-4-5) earned their way into the field by winning the Capitol Conference tournament in dramatic fashion. Mary Washington defeated Stevenson University in the final game on penalty kicks. The Eagles are led offensively by sophomore Amy Olson with 12 goals and eight assists on the year.
The Scots (13-4-1) finished perfect in the Great South Athletic Conference. GSAC player of the year Jessica Petersen leads the team with 18 goals and 44 points.
