Nobody's perfect in Football Contest

Upsets in two college football games last weekend prevented anyone from getting a perfect entry in The Daily Times Football Contest.

Eight contestants escaped with one missed pick, and for all but one, that miss was Northwestern's big upset of Iowa. Most contestants also missed Nebraska's upset of Oklahoma.

The one-miss entry of Seth Hughes, of Maryville, wins the $50 second-place prize for guessing closest to the tiebreaker (total points scored in the Tennessee-Memphis game, 84). William Frye, of Townsend, wins $25 for third place with the next closest tiebreaker guess.

The grand prize for a perfect entry jumps to $200 this week. For a chance to win, fill out the entry form in Tuesday's Sports Times section and turn it in to The Daily Times by 5 p.m. Friday.

Good luck and have fun, sports fans.
