The Compassionate Friends Foothills Chapter is again preparing its "Forever Remembered, Forever Loved" Memorial Tree to be featured in the Blount County Festival of Trees Dec. 3 through Jan. 7 at the Blount County Courthouse. The tree lighting will be at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 3 as part of the Hometown Christmas Celebration.

Anyone who has lost a child to death may participate. Photographs if available, the child's name, date of birth and date of death will be scanned and made into an ornament which can be reused on the tree for years to come. There is no cost, although donations are welcome. Additional ornaments can be ordered for $10 each. Last year's ornaments will be reused this year, unless the family notifies Compassionate Friends that they do not want to participate.

Send your name, e-mail address, physical address (including city, state and ZIP code), the full name, birth date and death date of the child with his/her photograph (approximately three inches by three inches, head and shoulders preferred) to Sandra Robinson, 1918 Smokemont Drive, Maryville, TN 37801. Digital or scanned photos may be e-mailed along with this information to tcffoothills@charter.net. Original photographs will be returned to the listed address.

Orders must be received by Friday (Nov. 20) to be on the tree Dec. 3. Late orders will be placed on the tree as soon as they are available from the printer.
