Gasoline prices drop for second week

A spot check of prices at 29 Blount County stations on AAA's Fuel Finder Web service Wednesday found the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $2.41, down 2.3 cents from last week's average.
The most common price over the last three days was $2.43, seen at 11 stations. The highest price seen Wednesday was also $2.43, and the lowest price was $2.34.
Knoxville's average of 41 stations was $2.45, down 2.3 cents from last week's average. The most common price for the last three days was $2.45, seen at 14 stations. The highest price seen Wednesday was $2.47, and the lowest price was $2.42.
The national average was 2.2 cents lower than last week at $2.63. As travelers look toward the Thanksgiving holiday, they can expect to see gas prices 60 cents higher than last year.
