A 33-year-old Louisville man was killed in an accident at 9:30 a.m. Thursday on Tazewell Pike in North Knox County.
Jason McKinley was driving on a revoked license for driving under the influence, according to Ashley Haynes of the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
According to witnesses, speed and a wet road were both factors in the accident, Haynes said.
McKinley lost control of the Ford Mustang in a curve, crossed the center yellow line and hit a Lincoln Town car head-on.
McKinley was transported to University of Tennessee Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Lincoln, Caleb Lakin, 68, of Corryton, was also taken to University of Tennessee Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, Haynes said.
