With her arms and legs bound tightly behind her back, Wanda Britt was still on her back when she was run over and killed by her own vehicle -- allegedly driven by Tracy Lynn Fox, a Sevier County man now charged with her death.

After hearing testimony, Blount County General Sessions Court Judge Mike Gallegos bound the case against Fox over to a Blount County grand jury.

The only witness called to the stand Friday was Blount County Sheriff's Office Detective Douglas Lee Davis, who recounted three separate interviews with Fox after Britt's death -- all three of which, Davis said, varied greatly in the events of Oct. 10, the day Britt was killed.

Fox ended up in Chattanooga, where he was arrested by authorities after the Knox County Sheriff's Office "pinged" his cell phone and tracked him to Hamilton County.

Fox's attorney, Charles Carpenter, asked if Davis had been able to corroborate any of the information that Fox had given in his statements to deputies.

"Yes I can confirm that (Britt) had been bound tightly ... I can confirm (Fox) was at the ATM using her card, and what he was wearing," Davis said. "And I can confirm that he returned to the scene and took the bindings off, I can confirm that she was run over with her car, which caused her death."

Fox remained incarcerated on a $500,000 bond on criminal homicide charges.
