For the second week Alcoa fell behind to start the game, but the Tornadoes found their footing thanks to three second-half Jaron Toney touchdowns on Friday night.

Alcoa went on to win 21-3 over Loudon in a TSSAA Class 3A quarterfinal at Goddard Field. Toney's hat trick tied him for the state record for touchdowns in a single season, held by Riverdale's Ralph King, who also played for coach Gary Rankin.

Toney accounted for 222 of Alcoa's 292 offensive yards, receiving 27 carries on the night. The Alcoa defense gave up 183 yards to the Loudon offense, 70 of which came on a pass to Matthew Wallace, setting up a K.C. Rader 27-yard field goal to give the Redskins their only lead of the game.

The Alcoa offense had trouble producing points in the first half, even with Toney eclipsing 100 yards early. The Tornadoes (13-0) struggled in the red zone, stalling three times inside the 20. Loudon (10-3) forced two turnovers on downs and intercepted Austin Tallant with 40 seconds remaining in the first half.
