Two medical office buildings will be the first businesses to locate on a portion of the 350-acre former ALCOA Inc. West Plant site.
Realty Trust Group (RTG), a Knoxville firm, has been selected as the health care real estate developer for the site.
A three-story, 60,000-square-foot medical office building is expected to be the first structure on the former West Plant property, said RTG Vice President Scott Cassity, who will be in charge of leasing for the project. A second structure will have about 40,000 square feet and be two stories high.
RTG has selected The Lewis Group as the architect for the project.
The proposed location of the two office buildings is on the east side of Faraday Street extended at the intersection with Hall Road.
Kinsey Probaswco Hays (KPH) of Chattanooga and International Risk Group (IRG) of Littleton, Colo., are the lead developers of the multi-use center that will include office, retail, health care and residential projects.
