Maryville's Carrie Goodson committed to play basketball Tuesday at Bryan College. The 5-foot-6 senior played point guard for the Lady Rebels last season, shooting 52 percent from the field and averaging 22 minutes in 33 games. Goodson has shifted to the two guard this season, scoring 29 points in two games.
"She is by far the best listener and responder that I've ever coached," Maryville coach Kim Bledsoe said. "That's big because that indicates that she knows what's important. She values what we're doing and just makes that her job to commit to that and do a good job herself."
The Lady Lions are a member of the NAIA and Appalachian Athletic Conference in Dayton. Bryan finished 18-13 last season, losing to Tennessee Wesleyan in the conference quarterfinals.
