Campbell County's Jessica Moore drained a 3-pointer as time expired in the fourth quarter to force overtime, and the Lady Cougars converted crucial free throws in the bonus round to pull out a 71-69 win over Heritage, which hosted the first day of the Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament on Friday.

The Lady Rebels wilted after halftime but held on for a 70-68 win over Jefferson County.

The Lady Governors outscored the Lady Hawks over most of the game, but a cold second quarter, when they managed only two points, led to Hardin Valley's 43-40 win.

Maryville trailed Jefferson County for most of the contest but turned up the defense in the fourth quarter to produce a 60-59 victory.

The Governors (2-1) exploded out of the locker room after the break with a 14-3 scoring advantage in the third quarter helping them claim the 71-61 win.

The Cougars claimed a victory in a physical struggle over the host Mountaineers, 72-66, in the nightcap.
