Maryville police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed another man at knife-point early Sunday morning, according to police reports.
At about 2 a.m. Sunday, David T. Masingo, Virginia Drive, Maryville, called police from Big Daddy's Scoots and Sports, 2641 U.S. Highway 411 South, Maryville.
Masingo told police he was drinking at the bar, where he started socializing with a man and his girlfriend. The three drank and talked before going outside near Miles Family 411 Restaurant to smoke.
"At this time the male struck Mr. Masingo in the chest with his arm, knocking him to the concrete," the police report stated. "The subject jumped on Mr. Masingo and brandished a knife and began to demand money."
According to the police report, there was a brief struggle, during which "Mr. Masingo was choked and cut from the top of his eyebrow to the top of his nose with a knife."
Masingo was able to get away and go back to Big Daddy's, where he called the police.
Masingo refused medical treatment and told police that the alleged suspect didn't get his money, but did steal his car keys and cell phone.
According to the police report, the suspect fled in a late '90s gray Honda. The suspect is described as a white male with numerous tattoos, a long goatee and a tongue ring, according to the police report.
