Two men arrested after argument involving gun

Two area men were arrested Sunday and charged with assault after a fight involving a handgun.
Charles Wayne Richardson, 44, Sayne Road, Rockford, was charged with domestic violence with aggravated assault. He was being held in lieu of a $20,000 bond pending a Dec. 4 court date.
The other man involved, Vincent Waylan Cardin, 26, Bluff Mountain Drive, Walland, was charged with misdemeanor violation of probation and domestic violence with assault. He was being held in lieu a $2,000 bond pending court dates on Dec. 3 and 4.
Richardson allegedly hit Cardin in the head with a handgun and Cardin allegedly responded by hitting Richardson in the face with his fist.
Both men had minor injuries and were taken to the Blount County Jail.
