Maryville employees reclassified by city council

Employee position changes for Kristine Tallent and Candy Russell were approved Tuesday night by Maryville City Council.
Tallent, who was city finance manager, will be reclassified to the new position of director of management and budget.
Tallent, who has been with the city for about three years, will direct the various stages of budget preparation, implementation and monitoring.
She will also be responsible for oversight and responsibility for the city's debt management process, contracts and grants, both state and federal, under the general director of City Manager Greg McClain.
Russell, who has been with the city for 11 years, will now hold the position of accounts receivable/payroll specialist. Before the title change, she served as account payable/payroll specialist.
