Walland man charged with soliciting minor

A Walland man was charged today with solicitation of a minor following an online undercover operation conducted by the Blount County Sheriff’s Office HEAT (Hi-Tech Evidence and Technology) Unit.
Charles Allen Pace, 71, Martin Valley Road, Walland, was charged with solicitation of a minor. He is being held at the Blount County Detention facility on a $25,000 bond pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. Monday.
For the past two weeks, the HEAT Unit has been conducting an online investigation on Pace. The investigation culminated today when members of the HEAT Unit, assisted by the BCSO patrol unit, took Pace into custody at his home.
