Maryville College's Carrie McConkey named one of "40 Under 40"

Carrie McConkey, regional advancement officer at Maryville College, was recently selected as one of Greater Knoxville Business Journal's "40 Under 40."
The list honors 40 individuals younger than 40 who are leaving on imprint on the Knoxville area through their professional and philanthropic efforts. The honorees are profiled in the Business Journal's January issue.
She holds a master's degree in human resource development from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor's degree in family and consumer sciences from Carson-Newman College.
McConkey has worked at the college since 2007 when she joined the staff as director of placement for the Center for Calling & Career. She moved into the regional advancement officer position on Nov. 24.
In this position, McConkey visits alumni and friends on the East Coast, helping complete the college's Our Window of Opportunity campaign, as well as fundraising for the new Bridge to Distinction Plan.
