The commission recommended adding private noncommercial airstrips to the list of permitted uses in the R-1 Zone, the addition of design standards for private noncommercial airstrips and increasing notification time to property owners and abutting property owners from five to 10 days. The request was made by Blount County.
Also recommended at the request of Blount County was an amendment to the Blount County Food Plain Zoning Resolution concerning membership and variance authority of the Board of Zoning Appeals.
The commission recommended to Maryville City Council closure of the portion of Wildwood Road from East Broadway Avenue to the property lines of parcels, 16, 18 and 22.
A public hearing on an amendment to the subdivision regulation on sinkholes and closed depression was set for Feb. 15.
