FOOTHILLS QUILTERS: Met Dec. 5 at Nazarene Church on East Broadway, Maryville. The meeting was called to order by the President Marilyn Ward.
Roll call was answered by telling the state each member would be in on Christmas Day.
Bonnie Holmes, chairman of the sale table for the coming quilt show for Foothills Quilters Show 2010 is accepting items for sale table that will be available at the show.
It was reported that the Atlanta Sewing Expo will be March 17-20.
Betty Peabody listed the following upcoming programs:
On May 20, Darlene Bakos will show how to do three-dimensional flowers.
Round Robin will begin in January. Bring center block in a bag with your name on the bag.
Blocks in December are for Marcella Emrick and Judy Gilliland.
Celeste Meunier asked that recipes be given to her for the Guild cookbook that is in the planning stage.
New business
Board meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Jan. 7.
Darlene Bakos announced the Smoky Mountain Quilters show at Maryville College, March 17-21.
Bakos announced that she and Bridget Matlock will be teaching "The ABCs of Quilting" at Pappy's Quilt shop. Classes are 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays. Contact Pappy's Quilt Shop on Sevierville Road.

Dorothy Belcher: Quilt Houses in the Snow
Ila Mae Morton: Quilt Red flannel pin wheels
Ruby Whisman: Sewing Tool Holder made as a gift to her by Peggy Hostetler.
Darlene Bakos: Cat quilt, quilted by friend, with balls of yarn and the words, Purr and a mouse
Betty Peabody: Tumbler quilt and the Reversible Squared quilt.
Helen Gairns: Embroidered Double Wedding Ring quilt from 1960 and brown woven coverlet (Queen Anne's Lace pattern) 1985.
Bonnie Holmes: old Double Wedding Ring quilt.
Christine Patty: International Harvester quilt for student living with her and her husband.
Celeste Meunier showed the snowman pillow top she was working on.
A potluck luncheon followed the meeting.
Foothills Quilters meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month at the Nazarene Church on East Broadway, Maryville. All persons are invited.
