Arrowmont not looking at Townsend

Knoxville and Greeneville, not Townsend, are in the running for a relocated Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts.
Arrowmont must vacate its quarters in downtown Gatlinburg in 2012. Phi Beta Fraternity leases the property to Arrowmont and has agreed to extend the current lease only through August 2012.
Herb Handly, executive vice president for tourism of Smoky Mountains Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Sandy Beall, founder and chief executive officer of Maryville headquartered Ruby Tuesday Inc., met with Arrowmont officials about relocating to potential sites in Townsend.
However, they were unsuccessful.
