Red Hat Jewels debutantes announced

The Red Hat Jewels in Alcoa has announced its 2009-2010 debutantes. The four young women will be presented at a debutante ball in March.
The debutantes include:
Mary S. Quarles is a senior at Alcoa High School, where she serves as a student mentor through the AMP program. She is a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. She will attend the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in the fall. Mary is the daughter of Ron and Leonera Quarles. She will be escorted to the ball by Jonivan Henry, a junior at Alcoa High School. He is the son of Kari Cunningham and Jamie Henry.
Audriona Revels is a senior at Alcoa High School. She enjoys cheering, reading and writing poetry and plans to attend Middle Tennessee State University, where she plans to major in sports management or physical therapy. She is the daughter of Danita Revels and the granddaughter of Juanita Asbury and Arnet Revels. She will be escorted to the ball by Deontra Herbert, a senior at Alcoa High School. He is the son of Babetta Herbert.
Kamellah Shereef is a senior at Alcoa High School. She is a member of Pre-College Upward Bound Program and a member of the Muslim community of Knoxville. She plans to attend Roane State Community College and major in early childhood education. Kamellah enjoys her job at Sonic, listening to music, shopping and spending time with family and friends. She is the daughter of Janine Shereef and William Bryant, and the granddaughter of William Bryant, the late Mr. and Mrs. James Shereef and the late Esther Bryant. She will be escorted to the ball by Martin Watson, a senior at Alcoa High School. He is the son of Zandra Wiedner and Martin Watson.
Chelsie Jeanine Wimbley attends Alcoa High School and plans to attend Lincoln Memorial University where she will major in nursing. Chelsie attends St. Paul A.M.E. in Alcoa. She enjoys reading, dancing and music. She works at Alcoa Elementary School four days each week with Alcoa High School work-based learning class. Chelsie is the daughter of Tommie and Constance Wimbley, of Alcoa. She will be escorted to the ball by Georgio Coffin, a senior at Alcoa High School. He is the son of Vanessa Dedmon and Stacy Coffin.
