Blount County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Maryville man Friday after he allegedly forced his way into a residence and attacked a man with a knife.
Authorities charged Brad Jonathan Harris, 24, Old Knoxville Pike, with violating an order of protection, domestic violence with assault and aggravated burglary.
Rebecca Renee Peck called deputies to the Jodi Lane residence, and told them that Harris forced his way into the house, “said he had a knife, took off his jacket, and told Cory Peck he was going to kill him,” Deputy Shannon Funderburk said in a report.
On the ride to the jail, Harris told deputies he did pull a knife on Peck, but didn't cut him. He also told authorities that Peck grabbed a bat when he saw Harris.
According to the police report Harris said he pulled the knife after seeing the bat, “got on top of (Peck) and held him down with the knife held above him.”
Harris was being held in lieu of bonds totaling $33,000 pending a Feb. 12 court date.
