A Maryville man recently racked up more than a dozen criminal charges after he allegedly wrecked his car, ran from police — leaving two small children in the vehicle — and failed a field sobriety test, according to a police report.
Blount County Sheriff's Deputies charged Roberto Jose Moreno-Ayala, 29, Cunningham Street, with two counts of aggravated child abuse, three counts of vehicular assault, leaving the scene of an accident with injury, resisting arrest, evading arrest, two counts of leaving a child unattended, domestic violence with assault, driving under the influence and driving without a license.
Deputies also cited him for not having children in restraints, driving in a no-passing lane and failure to use a turn signal.
Moreno-Ayala had allegedly been drinking when he crashed his car into another car, then fled from police, leaving two children in the car, according to a police report.
