A 2008 Alcoa High School graduate has been selected as a finalist to become Young & Free Tennessee's first spokesman, and he needs your help to pursue his dream job.
Mario Moncada Urbina, who attends Pellissippi State Community College, is currently pursuing a degree in nursing and media arts. He also works in the Alcoa Wal-Mart's electronics department.
Urbina, Powell native Amanda Wampler and Knoxville native Alex Oliver are the program's three finalists.
Winners will be determined, in part, by online voting. Urbina is currently making a three-minute video that will count for 50 percent of his score. Online voting will count for the other 50 percent, he said.
People can vote for their favorite Young & Free Tennessee finalist at http://www.youngfreetennessee.com between now and March 28.
The winner will be an ORNL Federal Credit Union full-time employee for one year. They will be expected to post daily blog entries and weekly video blogs and will travel, attend and speak at events throughout the year.
The winner will also receive a MacBook Pro notebook computer, HD video camera with microphone and accessories, iPhone with a paid contract for their term of employment and a Nissan Cube with gas for a year.
Winners can keep the camera, computer and iPhone.
