Six years after success on ‘American Idol,’ Bo Bice is still going strong

You might think the runner-up of “American Idol” would get tired of standing in the shadow of that show.

You certainly could be forgiven for thinking that of country artist Bo Bice, who came in second to Carrie Underwood on the fourth season of the Fox reality competition. After all, Bice released “The Real Thing,” to sales of more than half a million albums in 2005, the same year he came in second. And while he’s still sold respectably in the years since, subsequent albums have yet to match that level of success.
