Fairview Elementary librarian named Teaching with Primary Sources at Middle Tennessee State University’s 2014 Educator-in-Residence

Fairview Elementary School media specialist Suzanne Costner has been named Teaching with Primary Sources at Middle Tennessee State University’s 2014 Educator-in-Residence.

Costner, who has served six years at Fairview Elementary, will be developing lesson plans and educational materials to support the use of primary sources in elementary education in a 10-week summer residency program offered by TPS-MTSU, a program of the MTSU Center for Historic Preservation. She will also receive one-on-one training to serve as a resource for sharing effective instructional techniques in using primary sources.
