James Edward Bunch, age 90, of Maryville, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at the family home. He retired from L&N Railroad. Preceded in death by wife, Mary Evelyn Bunch; parents, Dan and Hattie Bunch; brothers, Glenn, George, and Edison Bunch; sisters, Jean Headrick and Lily Dyer. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Bunch and Judy Watson, Paul and Carolyn Bunch, James and Cindy Bunch, and Allan Bunch; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Cooper Williams, Edith and Tony Taylor, Brenda Crisp, Phyllis and Danny Brantley, Alma Jean Bunch, Iva and Joe Shown; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Hoover Bunch and Junior Bunch; sister, Margaret Morton; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, in Smith West Chapel with Rev. Ronald Morton officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
