For the dine-at-home crowd that likes to eat restaurant-prepared meals, Bite Squad food delivery app is expanding to Maryville.

The on-demand restaurant delivery service debuts today with its grand opening today through April 14.

The Bite Squad app lets customers order from participating restaurants and then sends a Bite Squad driver to deliver it.

More than 20 Maryville area restaurants already have partnered with Bite Squad, the company states in a news release. Those eateries include Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, The Shrimp Dock, Full Service BBQ, Rocky’s Jamaican Sunrise, Gracie’s, Southland Books & Cafe, Richy Kreme Donuts, Subs & Such, Petro’s, Puleo’s Grille, Chadwick’s, El Barril, El Jimador, Las Margaritas, Savory Rootz, Buffalo Wild Wings, Chick-fil-A, Applebee’s, Hooters and Moe’s Southwest Grill.

Bite Squad is kicking off its debut in the Maryville area with a “Free Delivery for a Year” promotion that gives customers a free 12-month subscription to Bite Squad Unlimited: a delivery membership that waives the booking fee on all orders within a four-mile radius. Regular delivery fees start at $2.99.

Maryville will be 10th Bite Squad city in Tennessee. Available in more than 375 cities nationwide, the app is operating in multiple Tennessee cities, including Knoxville, Memphis, Johnson City and Clarksville.

Bite Squad offers a consumer app with live order tracking to keep customers updated on when their food will arrive; a live chat support team; and uniformed, trained employee drivers.

The company said it expects to grow quickly in the Maryville area, and to meet anticipated demand, the company plans to hire 100 people locally. Drivers can apply at Restaurants looking to partner with Bite Squad can go to
