Smoky Mountain Wellness is hosting the Harvesting Booth with free youth helmets, blood pressure screenings and health tips on Aug. 3 at the Maryville Farmers Market. 

The booth opens at 9 a.m. that Saturday at the market held on Founders Square, 122 E. Broadway Ave., in downtown Maryville. It is free.

Joining in the Wellness Booth will be Bike to Market sponsored by the Jeff Roth Cycling Foundation.

Bicyclists can use the greenway system to ride in from Maryville-Alcoa-Blount County Parks and Recreation parks and are invited to purchase fresh foods at the farmers market.

People who bicycle to the Maryville Farmers Market will receive an in-store, $20 discount coupon from Cycology Bike Shop while supplies last. Youth helmets also will be given to children while supplies last.

Information will be available at the booth on the cycling foundation’s work to improve bicycling safety in Tennessee.

Misty Castiglia, State Farm insurance agent, will be at the market wellness booth to provide educational information on youth cycling.
