The Windy City Grille is winner of the 2019 “Best of the Best” awarded by the Best In Town Network, a Knoxville-based restaurant marketing and survey company.
Bob Klauser, representing the national marketing and survey firm, said only one local restaurant receives this recognition annually.
“Windy City Grille ranked as the No. 1 sports bar and restaurant, and one of the top five overall restaurants in the Blount County area in our recent survey of local business owners,” Klauser said at a recent presentation to the Maryville restaurant located at 2641 U.S. 411 S.
The survey focuses on good food, good service, reasonable prices and patron popularity.
“We have built a loyal customer following during our 12 years here in Maryville,” Hollie Cvitkovic, the restaurant’s owner, said in accepting the award.
“Since we closed Nater’z and reopened at this location as Windy City Grille four years ago, we have continued to grow. Our family has been in the restaurant business all of our lives. When we moved here from Chicago, we wanted to create fun dining experience that’s a mix the best of the Midwest with some Southern charm. It is humbling and an honor to have received so many awards over the years and to have so much support from our local community,” Cvitkovic said.
Kimberly Duckett, Windy City Grille general manager, noted the restaurant is open seven days a week and serves an average of over 20,000 customers per month.
“Our menu has something for everyone. Many items are made from scratch daily. We have large-screen TVs everywhere for our many sports fans. There’s always a lot of fun activities going on here all the time,” Duckett said.
