This weather is giving us fits with its ups and downs, rain or sunshine. The urge is to get outside on the warmer days. On the days when it is raining, take advantage of the old favorite household job.
That is right. It is time once again to start spring cleaning and planning for the expansion of your pantry or stockpile. First, determine your area for your stockpile.
Any available space can include kitchen shelves, pantry, broom closet, garage and basement. When you clean out those nooks and crannies, it gives you the opportunity to make extra room for your stockpile.
Additionally, rotate your pantry or stockpile using your oldest items first. This will prevent items becoming outdated and keep the newest items in the back of your stockpile. There will be times when reading the dates on items can be difficult. Keep a marker handy to place a larger date on the packaging.
Do not purchase items that have dents, cracks, bulging or rust. You do not want to have any items spoil in your stockpile.
This defeats the purpose of couponing and saving money.
Remember, as you save money with couponing, make sure you take advantage of your savings with the 52-week money saving plan. This is the 17th week of the year. Place $17 into your savings program. This would leave a new savings balance of $153 toward your year-end goal of $1,378.
