Holden's 50th

Jerry and Betty (Benson) Holden, of Maryville, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Sept. 7, 1968, at Laurel Bank Baptist Church in Friendsville by officiating minister the Rev. Frank Easter.

Their children are Jodi Wright and husband, Wendell, of Maryville, and Keri Bell, of Maryville. They have three grandchildren.

Jerry is retired from WATE-TV, and Betty is a retired teacher for Blount County Schools. They attend Monte Vista Baptist Church in Maryville.

The Holdens celebrated their anniversary with a family dinner and plan to take a trip to Australia and New Zealand.
