Edward and Shirley Irwin will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 9 from 4-6 p.m., at Fairview United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Friends and family are invited to celebrate with the couple, but to bring no gifts.

The Irwins were married on Dec. 27, 1969, at Clark’s Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church by the Rev. D.B. Blanton.

Their family includes two sons, Sean Irwin (LeeAnn), of Knoxville, and Lance Irwin (Shirley), of Ringgold, Georgia; grandchildren, Sean Irwin Jr. (Claire), Anna Loos (Glendle), Shelby Hensley (Luke) and Alex Irwin; great-grandchildren, Ruthie Hensley, Jenson Irwin, Abella Loos, Luke Hensley Jr., and Madison Irwin.

Edward is retired from TVA and Shirley is retired from Maryville Surgical Center. They are members of Fairview United Methodist Church and love to travel.
