The Rev. Rex Garrett Rogers and Paula Greene Rogers, of Louisville, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on May 29, 2019. The couple was married in 1969, in Bryson City, North Carolina.

Rex is retired from the U.S Air Force, the State of Tennessee, the Tennessee Air National Guard and Parralax Inc. He has served many churches since 2006 and is currently the Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church, in Alcoa.

Paula worked at TN Mill and Mine and First Federal Savings and Loan. After becoming a Registered Nurse, she worked at St. Mary’s Medical Center’s Women’s Pavilion, The Knoxville Cancer Center and Thompson Cancer Survival Center.

Their family includes son and daughter-in-law, Ryan Garrett Rogers and Jamie Parrott Rogers; and two grandsons, Garrett Chase Rogers and Camden James Rogers.

They observed their anniversary May 19 at Field of Dreams in Maryville.
