Four Blount County students attended the 72nd session of American Legion Auxiliary Volunteer Girls State from May 26 to June 1 at Lipscomb University in Nashville. They are: Rebecca Moler, from William Blount High School; Isabella Jean Bostrom, from Maryville High School; Erika Renee Claridy, from Alcoa High School; and Madlen Ann Conley, from Maryville Christian School. Girls State is a weeklong program that attempts to instill a love for country and God in young girls.
