The Dancing Bear Bicycle Bash will be held Saturday, Sept. 16 in Townsend. The event, sponsored by Blount Partnership, costs $45 to participate and each registration includes a $5 donation to Bike Elf.

There will be rides of 28 miles, 37 miles and 59 miles. Calf Killer Beer will be available on tap and a gourmet lunch will be provided by chef Shelley Cooper.

Those who register before Sept. 14 will receive a complimentary lunch on Dancing Bear's lawn. T-shirts will also be provided.  The first 25 people to register before midnight on July 31 can use the code "SummerHummer" and receive $10 off the registration fee. Go to

Packet pickup will open at 7:30 a.m. and all riders will roll out at 9 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dancing Bear's outdoor event deck.
