HALL COMMUNITY SENIOR CITIZEN FELLOWSHIP CLUB: Meets at noon on the second Thursday of each month at the Martin Luther King Center. The club is open for new members, both men and women.

BLOUNT COUNTY PHOTO CLUB: Meets at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month in Herron Room A at the Blount County Public Library.

KNOXVILLE CIVIL WAR ROUNDTABLE: Aaron Astor, historian and associate professor at Maryville College, will discuss Reconstruction at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, at Bearden Banquet Hall, 5806 Kingston Pike. IMAGINATION LIBRARY SIGN-UP: Thanks to Maryville Kiwanis, children from birth up to their fifth birthday who are residents of Blount County can receive free books monthly when parents register in the Children’s Department of the Blount County Public Library, open daily or online at Blount Reads. Music, Dancing

EVERETT SENIOR CENTER: Hosts dances from 7-10 p.m. every Friday. The center is located at 702 Burchfield St., Maryville. Those who enjoy the two-step, waltz and line dancing are encouraged to attend. Dusty Roads band will provide the music.

Self-Help, Support Groups

OVERCOMERS OUTREACH: The 12-step Christ-centered support group meets at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays at Partnership Christian Church, 323 Partnership Parkway, Maryville. Those overcoming habits, addictions and compulsions come together to praise the Lord, share with one another in strictest confidence and pray specifically for one another. Come as you are.

WIDOW/WIDOWER GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP: Meets at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays at New Providence Presbyterian Church, 703 W. Broadway Ave., Maryville. The group is for those who have suffered a loss within the last two years. For more information, call 865-856-2570.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY MARYVILLE: Meets each Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, 804 Montvale Station Road, Maryville. This is a Christ-centered 12-step program for anyone struggling with addiction, hurts, hang-ups and/or habits.
