Join Keep Blount Beautiful, Little River Watershed Association Blount County Soil Conservation District and Tuckaleechee Garden Club for an invasive plant removal along the Townsend River Walk and Arboretum from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 4. The invasive plants will include privet, honeysuckle, mimosa and multifloral rose.

Volunteers should meet at Campground United Methodist Church, 7466 Tuckaleechee Pike, Townsend (corner of 321 and Tuckaleechee Pike) at 9 a.m. Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes and bring work gloves if they have them. Standard gloves, hand tools and litter supplies will be provided by Keep Blount Beautiful.
