The Highland Park Ruritan Club will host its Veterans Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, Aug. 17 at the club, located on U.S. Highway 321 in Lenoir City. The breakfast is held every year to show appreciation and gratitude to the men and women who have served or are serving in the armed forces.

The event begins at 8 a.m. with a welcome. Mike Kitchens from Smoky Mountain Service Dogs will give an update on the nonprofit's new facility at 8:25 a.m. Entertainment will be provided beginning at 8:40 a.m. The benediction will be given at 10:30 a.m. For more information, contact Gary Krantz at 865-661-3836.
