The annual Blount County Jaycees Christmas Parade took place Saturday morning. The parade's theme was "Christmas Toyland" and the Officer Moats Foundation, which honors fallen Maryville Police Officer Kenny Moats, served as the grand marshal. The parade began at 11 a.m. and ran down East and West Broadway in Maryville; all participants were required to wear masks when social distancing wasn't feasible, and spectators were encouraged to wear masks and social distance from those outside their households.
